I am warm, collaborative, and intentional. Therapy works best when you can be vulnerable and curious in a non-judgemental space. As your therapist, it is my job to attend carefully to your specific needs, experiences, and goals in order to form this essential therapeutic trust. You can expect that I will emphasize humor and humility as I meet you where you are in your mental health journey. For children, I utilize play as a medium to communicate at their developmental stage.
I conceptualize client concerns through a psychodynamic and developmental lens. In layman's terms, this means I consider your upbringing, your early and ongoing relationships, how you have learned to relate to your environment and cope with current stressors, as well as cultural and identity-specific factors. I integrate a variety of modalities and theories into my practice, including psychodynamic interventions, attachment-based interventions, behavioral interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Parent Management Training (PMT), and Regulation-Focused Psychotherapy for Children (RFP-C, a form of Play Therapy).
